Everything you should know about Clan Perks and Experience in Clash of Clans

All of you should now have recognized so far that Clan can now gain experience and level up. When your Clan levels up you get some benefits from Clan Perks that affect all of the clan members and in this post I want to show you how this whole thing works in a little more detailed kind of way. First thing why this is so important is the fact that you will benefit from the Clan Perks all the time and not only in Clan Wars. To give you an idea what the Clan Perks are have a look:

You see that they are quite mighty and reduce the cooldown for requesting Troops for your Clan Castle, give you a refund for Donations and also always add some extra to your War bonus! First this might seem a little confusing so just see it as a Level where you unlock something – if your Clan gets to Level 8 you will get the new Clan perk for that Level (Donation limit and extra war loot storage) but you also have still all the Perks from Level 2 – Level 7. Unfortunately the War loot bonus will not stack but 50% extra is still awesome bottom line.

The Clan Perks in detail – donation refund and donated troop upgrade

I have seen lots of questions in the comments on other posts so far regarding the Perks so let’s have a look at some of them. I think you understand what the Troop request wait time and the Donation limit is, but Donations refund and Donated troop upgrade is interesting so let me explain it. The refund is like having a Cashback Card somewhere – when you donate a Troop you will get that percentage what the Troops costed to create instantly back into your Storages. If you donate 5 Wizards Level 6 which cost 4,000 Elixir each you have a summed up cost of 20,000 Elixir. Lets say you’re in a Clan at Level 9 so you have 50% Donation refund unlocked you will get in the very moment you donate these 5 Wizards you will get 10,000 Elixir back. This is excellent when you think what sums up in a Clan War when all War Castles needs to get filled with Dragons.

The other thing is Donated troop upgrade and I’ve seen some really weird things some expect to happen. This is simply the number of levels the Troops gets leveled up when you donate it. If you donate Archers Level 5 and your Clan unlocked the Level 10 Clan Perk your Level 5 Archers are transformed into Level 7 Archers when they appear in your clan mates Clan Castle. This is nice especially for Clans with a more wide range of player because the lower members can still donate to higher members.

How to unlock Clan Perks with Clan Experience

Alright, I think all of us see now that we have to be in a Clan with all Perks unlocked but this is something each Clan has to achieve. You can unlock the Perks with the new Clan Experience. If you upgrade etc. something in your base you will get Experience for your own Player Level and this is also how the Clan Experience works – your Clan gets Experience you and other members do certain things. The things you have to do to earn Clan Experience are:

• Destroy a War Base in a Clan War
• Ear a certain percentage of the total Stars in a Clan War (50 versus 50 Clan War has 150 Stars possible to get and you have to get 40% (60 Stars) or 60% (90 Stars) of them to get extra Clan Experience
• Win a Clan War (obviously)

You will get these Experience in the Clan War that started AFTER the Update yesterday so if you’ve been in the middle of a Clan War when the Maintenance Break occurred you have to wait for the next Clan War to start gaining Clan Experience.

What this will change in Clash of Clans?

I know lots of you don’t like the February 2015 Update because no huge new things in Troops or Levels have been introduced but if you have a closer look this is one of the Updates that changes a lot because now you will get a huge benefit from the Clan Perks that help you almost every moment you are online in Clash of Clans! Faster Troop requesting, lower donation costs and added donation levels so even if you don’t have new upgrades to unlock yourself in your village you will have to unlock these Clan Levels.
My personal opinion is that this is an almost perfect Update for Clash of Clans! Before you now start caps lock.commenting below let me explain – I like that Clan War is now heavily integrated in almost each aspect of Clash of Clans. With the Opt-Out now all Clans have the possibility to go to Clan War seriously with those who want. There are so many casual player Clans out there with social people and the few among them who also want to push hard can now go to War. I’m still missing that I can use my upgrading Heroes in War but with that February Update I’m very sure that Supercell will do that in the next Update – simply because 7 Days of upgrading with such a deep integration of Clan War is something everybody will be very upset about.
